New York's dancy AVAN LAVA has just came out with their Sophmore EP 'Flex Fantasy' this week. You can check out their catchy video 'It's Never Over' and while you're at it, learn some fucken dance moves. If you are so inclined, you can also stream their whole EP for free. They will be playing the Mercury Lounge in New York on the 25th.

LA-based indie rapper, Kenan Bell has come out and remixed his friend Meg Myers song, 'Monster'. Meg's powerful voice with an addition of Kenan's rhymes makes for a dope combo. Since both are in LA, i think it would be sick to see this combo done live… lets make it happen people. 

Looking at this video when I go to parties it tends to start off this way then I wake up with a fucked up ankle and a bruise on my knee. I would like to think nothing this crazy goes down. Yet, it still makes me want to go to a house party with The Bixby Knolls. 'Through The Cracks' heavy bass line drives the song into it's catchy hook and you catch yourself singing "heyy!" along with the song.

You can get this song on their upcoming album 'Near and Undear' coming out early Summer. Fuck, now I want some whiskey.

It's everyones favorite Denver-based band… well at least mine. They released a video last week for 'Origins'. I mostly don't get it but in all honesty I don't care because the song is dope. Actually, the video is cool to watch anyway. You can get this song off their 'Young & Old' album which came out on Feb 14th. Thanks for the tunes Tennis. :)

'Open' comes from LA-based Rhye with a somewhat NSFW video. I say somewhat because it just depends on how corporate your job is when you decide to watch this. You can purchase Rhye's 12" Debut EP which includes 'Open', 'Hunger' and 'Three Days' over at Innovative Leisure. I especially like 'Three Days'.

I'm not quite sure why I've never heard of Giana Factory before, but you can't know everything that's badass. I mean, it could be because they are from Copenhagen or something. Not only are they a talented trio of musicians but they can also make an awesome video for themselves. 'Rainbow Girl' will be off their new album 'Save The Youth' sometime this Spring. Coming out of Stockholm, Sweden is Sameblod with their single Loud. This duo started Sameblod a year ago and are set to release their debut album in March 2012. Check out Loud and let them know what you think. I've been listening this to a few days now and just got to posting this. 

New York's cosmic-disco ensemble, Phenomenal Handclap Band propels us into their retro-futuristic styled world with the release of video, “The Right One,” off their second album Form and Control due out on February 14th from Tummy Touch Records.

His name is Kenan Bell, just like Kenan & Kell. Spelled like Kenan, slim like Kell. I sort of wish I was clever enough to make that line up, but I'm not. That's from Kenan's Summer Solstice Volume 2 from the song Chinese Yen. In case you haven't put it all together yet… yes, there is more than one volume of these, in fact there are three.

He released Summer Solstice Volume 1 on June 21st (first day of Summer). Starting off SSV1 Dear Summer, which would make anyone want to hang out in front of a grill, eat some carne asada, drink some beers, smoke some weeds. SSV2 brings you Chinese Yen, OTF (Prod. Trey Michaels), and Summer Love. All in which have a slight different sound to it but it's all Kenan. Lastly we get into SSV3. This volume has the most tracks out of all of them. You get the tracks; Book Of The Month (ft, Ayomari and Carl Roe), Caribou, and Life and Death. In total you end up with something like 41 tracks to load into your iPod. Fuck… i can barely do a 3 paragraph write up.

I am expecting a few good things coming soon from Kenan Bell, including a re-interpretation of a song I've posted earlier this month… can anyone take a guess which one? Anyway, if you're smart you'll follow the links below and download the Summer Solstice series.
